Fishing yesterday (March 10, 2008) was good at the small boat channel between the second and third island. Fish were around 26 to 28 inch range with one measuring 33" They were on/near top. Small flck of birds were working closer to the third island, but not where we were. Had great marks! Finally a decent weather day on the water with only light winds. Did not find fish anywhere else we looked.
Sounds like a good day. Were you using unweighted flies ? Could you see them rolling on top at all ?
Did not see the fish , but marked them on the sounder.. There was a small pod of birds working farther north, but never made it to them - as Bob Hutchinson one said "never leave fish to find fish" Nice day, though.
