My wife was out of town last week. On Monday, my daughters school called me. We tried to call your wife but she didn't anwer, the caller said. Your daughter is crying. She's never cried before. She says her stomach hurts. Okay, good excuse to leave work. Picked her up. Let her eat lunch - she was fine. Hmm, what to do? Taking her fishing sounded fun. Until I realized how much trouble I probably would've gotten in had anyone found out. So, we worked a couple of science lessons instead. Drawing the solar system and fooling around with homemade boats to test archimede's principle. Not a bad way to spend the day.
