Building a Fly Rod

Have two rods ready to build up.  One fly and one bait caster. Both have the handles and tip tops just need to wrap and finish.

If anybody wants to see how this is done good chance to watch in person.  Let me know

Re: Building a Fly Rod

When Bishops was selling out fly tackle bought a 4 pc 5 wt for cheap.  Not sure who made it, think it's a rain forest from the PNW. Handle kit and guides from Anglers workshop.  Baitcaster St Croix tidemaster 7 ft again from AW In Washington State.

Also still on the retro heavy tackle kick. 130 lb 100 lb 80 lb pair of 50's and a 30 all on solid Shakespeare blanks with Var Mac machined reel seats and gimbals. Everything from the 1950's all brand new. Turning up Ash butts and rebuilding old Penn Senators. And not a use in the world for them when finished.

Anyway the fly rod only needs a hour or so to wrap and plan to have the baitcaster already wraped so someone can see how to apply the finish. Plus from the half built heavy rods can see how to install reels seats and handles.
