What to do?

A couple of questions:

1) Should we allow users to upload pictures directly to the website? It would make uploading pictures easier, and possibly more visible to all users. However, it could eat our available webspace. What to you think?

Personnaly, I'd like to see participation in the forums increase; more images could help make that happen.

2) What sort of links should we add to our eduacational section? We have knot tying sites, and one fly tying site.

I think having members upload their own photos is a great idea. This should not be the responsibility of the administers. Of course, those administering the site should monitor all photos for inappropriate content.

With regard to space, how much do we have? We'll need to make provisions to either add space when the time comes or to remove photos.

One place I visit frequently is Google books. They let you read many many books, but they don't always have the entire book.

iTunes also has some great free fly fishing podcasts.

Speaking of podcasts, if anyone knows someone with some good recording equipment, I think it would be very useful if we could record our monthly meetings or at least the speakers so those members that can't make the meetings can at least feel involved by listening to the podcast. Or if the club wants to spend the money to buy the equipment, I'll handle the recording...Just a thought.

Try uploading a picture now; I've changed the site settings.
